Calendula (calendula officinalis)

Calendula is known for its gentle and soothing qualities that aid the natural regenerative process. Extracted by maceration in sunflower oil from the flowering heads.  Beneficial as an anti-inflammatory and beneficial for skin problems. Shelf life 1 year.

Pictured (IanBrealey2012) is a calendula coming into flower.  The heads are removed and dried.  They will grow throughout the summer.  This particular calendula is suppying flowering heads for maceration in sunflower oil on a sunny kitchen shelf to treat a persistent skin eczema of the back in an 18 month old.
