HEADS UP!! When Shirley Price and Robert Tisserand made aromatherapy a household word and took essential oils back into hospices and hospitals the cry was, yes interesting case studies but where is the research? Researchers came together at Warwick University, UK in 1997 in a landmark event. Now fifteen years on its time to do it again to review the research in the meantime and showcase the work done by Jane Buckle and her colleagues in particular. There is now so much worldwide research on the clinical uses of essential oils and massage from mood enhancement to cancer treatment that we need a guide to it. On May 12,13 2012 the Shirley Price International College of Aromatherapy will be co-sponsoring Aromatherapy Research and Synergy of Essential Oil Constiituents, a weekend seminar with Robert Tisserand. Welcome all. Its been a busy summer at Shirley Price Aromatherapy. Our enthusiastic tutors and students have once again excelled themselves. The next Aromatherapy Diploma course starts in November 2011 and international students join the class in March 2012. Examinations and IFPA upgrade in August 2012. Sp has help 8 CPD workshops led by Jan Benham MIFPA including the weeklong Holistic Skincare Diploma, more to come.

Exhibitions - We attended spring 2011 exhibitions in Edinburgh and Birmingham.
Lavender. The Lavender from Tuscany grown under contract exclusively for Shirley Price Aromatherapy has been greeted by therapists as the finest available. Made by traditional methods with just the flowering heads the fragrance is very fine.

Training - In April the international students arrived for the Aromatherapy Diploma at the Factory in Hinckley including students from Korea and China. The aromatherapy diploma is led by tutor Jan Benham MIFPA. The diploma also suits asian students studying for degrees at Birmingham, Warwick and Leicester universities. Jan is leading an active program of Summer 2011 workshops at the factory.
Production - well done all! We have been joined in the UK factory by Wisteria a manager from our Korea Distributor, Marinoel Cosmetics.

Boxes - NHS and pharmacies have asked when do we get barcoded boxes and a barcode catalog. The boxes are here with shipping/display outers of 50x boxes. Our next project is a 10ml and 5ml digital label run for 120 sorts of essential oils. We have been using litho labels but have found the print taking varnish too inconsistent sometimes even causing the print to rub off so now we have gone digital to solve this issue. Our aromatherapy kit essential oil sets come with cap markers with the name of the oil. The Cap markers can be bought separately.
Exhibitions - Good to see you all at Scottish Beauty, Edinburgh, and at Holistic Health at the Birmingham NEC 8/9th May Jan Benham gave a live exhibition of Holistic skincare using our fantastic and exclusive tuscany organic lavender in cosmetic making creams, fun bath bombs, lotions.
Travels - Nice trip to China June 6-12 to discuss a new aromatherapy educational venture Aromatime there in Beijing. While there I signed a 5 year cooperation agreement with the Aloe House factory in Tianjin to bring Aloe Vera products to our customers in China. Great product support from Rosie Brandrick the College Secretary who answers questions on the Aromatime website.
ShirleyPriceAromatherapy.com. You'll see a new name on the distributors pages looking after the Malaysia/Singapore area. The very well respected Issamay School has become a Shirley Price correspondent college and joined IFPA, Joon Wong who leads the college will be in the UK in August.
