Sunflower (helianthus annuus)

Cold pressed from the seed.  Light in texture and non-greasy.  Rich in vitamins A, B, D, E, high unsaturated fatty acid content. Use for bruises, skin diseases.

Carrier Oils for Aromatherapy & Massage by Len Price mentions that Sunflower Oil contains approximately 12% saturated fat, and 64% linoleic acid (an omega-6 essential fatty acid). Standard Sunflower Oil contains approximately 20% oleic acid (an omega-9 fatty acid), and High Oleic Sunflower Oil contains approximately 80% Oleic Acid.
